Luanda - The first installment of the Christmas bonus for civil servants will be paid in August together with the salary, the Secretary of State for Finance and Treasury, Ottoniel dos Santos, announced Thursday in Luanda.

The official disclosed the information at the 26th thematic session promoted by the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technology and Social Communication (MINTTICS).

According to the Secretary of State, the fourth and final installment of the Christmas bonus will be paid in November, in order to guarantee a peaceful year for all civil servants.

"We have approximately 700,000 civil servants on our payroll, which means that we have to start paying the Christmas bonus, so that this payment can be made on time," Santos said.

The 26th thematic session discussed the topic towards the "Public Finance Reform and Sustainability Program" and is part of the government’s program to strengthen relationships with citizens. HM/QCB/AMP
