Luanda- Gross credit granted to the Angolan non-financial sector amounted to 4.83 billion Kwanzas in April, an increase of 4.70% compared to the same period last year.
Of this credit granted by commercial banks, 91.50% represents private sector debt and 8.50%, represents public sector indebtedness, with emphasis on government and public companies, according to the monthly information published by the Central Bank, which ANGOP had access to on Friday.
Of the loan granted, the debt of the non-financial public sector is 410.79 billion kwanzas, of which 58.17% refers to public administration and 41.83% to companies also in the public sector.
Compared to the same period last year, there was an increase of 29.81 billion kwanzas in loans.
The same report mentions that the private sector's indebtedness also increased by 187.22 billion Kwanzas, representing 4.42% compared to the same period last year.
Of the total credit granted to the non-financial sector and allocated to the real economy, 84.89% were delivered within the scope of Angola’s Central Bank notices on the promotion of the economic sector, in the amount of 873.71 billion kwanzas.
The beneficiaries of these loans were the manufacturing industry, mining, agriculture, animal production, hunting, forestry and fishing.
