Luanda - Gross credit granted to the non-financial sector totalled Kz5.5 trillion in June this year, an increase of K709.78 million compared to the same period last year, data published by the Statistics Department of the National Bank of Angola (BNA) has said.
Of the amount granted by banks, 89.66% represents the indebtedness of the private sector, private companies and individuals, while 10.34% of the loan went to the public sector.
The indebtedness of the non-financial public sector totalled 569.04 billion kwanzas, of which 46% is related to public administration and 54% to public companies.
Compared to the same period last year, it was recorded an increase of 170.58 billion (42.81%).
Of this amount, the indebtedness of private companies corresponds to 3.77 trillion kwanzas, an increase of 255.28 billion kwanzas (7.26%).
The indebtedness of individuals corresponds to 1.16 trillion kwanzas, with an increase of 283.92 billion (32.29%).
The indebtedness of the private sector (private companies and individuals) increased from 4.39 trillion kwanzas in June 2022 to 4.93 trillion in June 2023.
Real sector receives Kz 1.34 trillion
Real sector of the economy, gross credit to the non-financial sector allocated to the real economy totalled Kz 1.34 trillion in June 2023, representing 23.27% of total credit.
Compared to the same period last year, there was an increase of 357.80 billion kwanzas (36.41%).
Gross credit granted under the BNA's Notices for the promotion of the real sector totalled 929.80 billion kwanzas, which corresponds to 69.35% of total credit for this process. NE/Amp/jmc
