Luanda - Gross credit granted to the non-financial sector totalled 4.61 trillion kwanzas in April of this year, Kz 136.73 billion (2.88 percent) less than the same period of the previous year.
The reduction in credit was considered by the Central Bank of Angola (BNA) as "slight", according to a publication that reached ANGOP on Monday.
Of the amount available, in April, 91.75% corresponds to the debt of private companies and individuals (private sector) and 8.25% to administration and public companies (public sector).
The indebtedness of the non-financial public sector totalled Kz 380.94 billion, of which 61.96% refers to the public administration and 38.04% to public companies, a reduction of Kz 19.71 billion (4.92%) relative to the same period of the previous year.
Also during the period in question, the indebtedness of the private sector registered a reduction of 117.02 billion kwanzas (2.69%), increasing from Kz 4.35 billion in April 2021 to Kz 4.23 billion in April 2022.
Of that amount, the indebtedness of non-financial private companies corresponded to Kz 3.46 trillion, with a reduction of Kz 10.75 billion (0.31%), whilst for individuals it was in the order of Kz 774.35 billion, with a reduction of Kz 106.276 billion, corresponding to 12.07%.
