Luanda - Angola's National Post and Telegraph Company on Saturday denied sending messages to the public to update data and pay for its services.
In a note sent to ANGOP, the company 'vehemently' repudiates the acts committed by unidentified elements, who have been sending messages on behalf of the institution to the public, calling for the updating of personal data and/or to induce payments on the provision of sending or receiving parcel services.
He explains that the criminals make collections and induce people to pay in other people's bank details.
In these messages, there are also links, which, once accessed, allow the collection of data, whose misuse puts the integrity of users at risk.
Therefore, the note informs that, at the moment, Angola’s Post Service is not making use of payment platforms, with the exception of TPA, at its branches, so it calls for non-adherence to these criminal practices, and should ignore and report it to the police authorities.
The Post Service reiterates its total commitment to transparency, rigor and respect for all its users and the general public.
The National Post and Telegraph Company of Angola, also known as Correios de Angola, is the government institution responsible for the country's postal system.
Founded more than 100 years ago, the company has gained, in recent years, a new dynamic in terms of services provided, and is now able to offer its users higher quality services. ART/DOJ
