Luanda - Angola accountant Benjamim Dumba launched, on Wednesday, a book on Cost Reduction and Business Income Taxation, with the aim of bringing the services of the General Tax Administration (AGT) closer to businesspeople.

The book consists of 151 pages and four thematic axes, on the inherent relationship between AGT and businesspeople with regard to taxes and profits.

"There has been a dispute between accountants regarding this matter. However, this issue comes to clarify how to carry out taxation", Benjamim explained during the intervention at the launch, in the extension building of the Catholic University of Angola (UCAN).

Benjamim Dumba added that another objective is to contribute to academic literature on issues linked to taxes, so that students do not depend on foreign information, but rather on an approach to a current and national context.

For the academic, there is a lack of knowledge about taxes, and this work comes to contribute to the understanding of both businesspeople and accountants.

Benjamim Dumba has a master's degree in tax law, a postgraduate degree in Pedagogical Aggregation and a degree in accounting and taxation.

He currently serves as head of the tax services department of the 6th tax region of the General Tax Administration - AGT.

The author's first work, consisting of several opinion and scientific articles, was about children's financial education, with the title "My First Finance Book", published back in 2021. SL/MDS/CF/DOJ
