Luanda - Angolan government has announced plans to launch the International Public Tender for concession of Lobito Porto Terminals by the second quarter of this year.
This was announced by minister of Transport, Ricardo D 'Abreu, who said that the intention is to allow the world’s private entities with technical and financial repute to improve the performance.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the first Meeting with the staff of Porto do Lobito, held via online, the minister said the actions contained in the Activity Plan must be implemented.
Among the actions, the official referred to the management plan, master plan, preparation of the strategic development plan 2021/2025 and the implementation of the JUP II project..
The meeting discussed “The future of maritime navigation in Angola”, “the planning plan for Porto do Lobito”.
Other topics include “The new Law on Public Contracts”, “The Port Planning Plan”, “The amendment to the Penal Code”, "The Angolan criminal process and its application for public companies".
