Luanda - Government spending subject to the Public Procurement Law (LCP) totalled Kwanza 3.906 billion in 2021, or 26.4 percent of the initially approved State Budget of Kz14.785 billion.
According to the annual report on Public Procurement (RACPA), presented Tuesday to journalists from public bodies, the figure represents a rise of 6 percent, compared to the same period of the previous year, with 1,578 procedures registered.
In 2020 the amount processed totalled 2.679 billion kwanzas, which represented 20.3 percent of the approved state budget of around 13.455 billion kwanzas.
From the amount referred to above and according to the total amount settled, it can be observed that the amounts executed were in the order of 3 904 billion kwanzas, corresponding approximately to 99% of the amount committed under the LCP, thus maintaining the trend of previous years.
The National Public Procurement Service (SNCP) assessed, of the total procedures registered, a value of around 132 billion kwanzas, corresponding to only 3% of the amount paid out, resulting from the lack and or quality of information provided by the Public Contracting Bodies, as well as the non-mandatory communication of awards of Public Procurement Procedures (PCP), below 182 million kwanzas.
