Menongue - The vice-governor of the south-eastern Cuando Cubango Province for political, social and economic maters, Helena Chimena, on Sunday called for greater involvement of churches in mobilizing the faithful and the population, in general, for the success of the 2024 Census, which began 19th September last.

When speaking at the service celebrating the 50 years of existence of the Apostolic Faith Church in this region of the country, Helena Chimena argued that all pastors and religious leaders must carry the message of incentivizing people to keep their doors open to census takers, as only then will it be possible to shape public policies, according to the appropriate estimate of the population number.

She underlined that the church is the State's strategic and privileged partner with the mission of securing the dignity of the human person, ethics and morals, actions that, like the Census, within communities, were made possible with the direct involvement of church that helps the State in the moralization of society.

On the other hand, the official praised the role of the mentioned church for being attentive to the moralization of society, leading youth to avoid and combat the intention of vandalizing public assets and other less favorable actions.

"The census is for the good of all Angolans. You must mobilize and multiply information for a better Angola", she highlighted.
