Ondjiva - The acting governor of the southern Province of Cunene, Apolo Ndinoulenga, appealed Monday, in Ondjiva City, to citizens for greater involvement in the population and housing census.
Speaking to ANGOP, Apolo Ndinoulenga highlighted the cruciality of the process, which begins on the 19th of the current month, and defended that the work of census takers should be approached with responsibility, which aims to establish real statistics to help the government define public policies.
The 2024 Census will be the second in ten years, after happening back in 2014.
The province of Cunene has a population estimated to 1.017.491 inhabitants and is made up of the municipalities of Cuanhama, Namacunde, Ombadja, Cuvelai, Curoca and Cahama.
