Cazenga - The cartographic updating process began today, Wednesday, in the municipality of Cazenga, as part of the general population and housing census 2024.
Speaking to the press, the provincial head of the National Statistics Institute (INE), Joaquim Pazito, made it known that there are three teams in the field, made up of four cartographers each, with the “face to face” update being developed, with the end scheduled for the month of March of the year, due to population density.
“We will go from house to house, to know the first and last name of the head of the household, how many live in each residence and to know the georeferencing of the population”, he described.
Joaquim Pazito clarified that, for the registration to be successful, they count on the support of resident committees who know the limits of the localities.
He guaranteed that the work to raise awareness among the population will continue in schools and markets, hence the residents' adherence to the process and their willingness to receive agents in the field, identified to carry out the work.
The Cazenga Municipal Administration, in a statement, appealed to residents to collaborate with technicians from the National Statistics Institute (INE), providing real data, in order to allow the 2024 Census to be successful.
"The teams preparing the census network (collecting the name of the head of the family and number of people living in each residence) will be duly identified, wearing INE uniforms and accompanied by National Police agents, thus guaranteeing credibility and security, during work”, he asserts.
