Luanda – Angolan commercial banks will start issuing multi-branded debit payment cards for use in Angola and abroad, according to information posted on the official website of EMIS – Interbank Service Company.
EMIS says that the coexistence of two brands (Multicaixa and Mastercard) in a single payment card issued by Angolan commercial banks has the advantage of being universally accepted and more comfortable for users.
In this regard, the card will be considered “Multicaixa debit card” whenever it is used in the national territory and “Mastercard debit card” when used abroad; with all operations always linked to the holder's payment account.
A EMIS é a empresa interbancária de serviços que gere a Rede Multicaixa e a Câmara de Compensação Automatizada de Angola (CCAA), enquanto a Mastercard é uma empresa multinacional norte-americana de serviços financeiros, fundada em 1966.
EMIS' services include the Payment Card Management System (Multicaixa), the Credit Transfer System (STC), the Check Clearing System (SCC), the Direct Debit System (SDD) and the Instant Transfer System (STI). QCB/BA/DOJ
