Luanda - Attracting national and foreign private investment for the implementation of projects in the field of food security is the main priority of the new chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency (AIPEX), Arlindo das Chagas Rangel.
In a brief statement, on Thursday, to the press, on the sidelines of his inauguration ceremony, he explained that this objective stems from the Executive's indication to direct “private investments towards food security, without neglecting other areas of investment opportunities in the country'.
At the event presided over by the Minister of State for Economic Coordination, José de Lima Massano, the new chairman of AIPEX said that the agency will continue to be the facilitator for national and foreign investors.
On the occasion, José Massano reiterated to Arlindo das Chagas Rangel the need to intensify actions and continue to be one of the main references in supporting the business class, national and foreign.
According to the official, the Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency needs to attract investments, with a view to boosting the diversification of the national economy and helping to build a stronger and more integrated society, capable of achieving the desires of Angolan citizens.
With a degree in Economics, Arlindo das Chagas Rangel replaces Lello Francisco, who had been appointed in December 2022.
