Luanda - Angola-Mozambique Chamber of Commerce chairperson, Célia Cipriano, on Monday in Luanda expressed her intention to strengthen cooperation in the fields of agriculture and tourism in both countries.
Speaking during the 2nd edition of the 'Diplomatic Conversations' space, which addressed the theme 'Opportunities and challenges in the national market', the official said that the Mozambican business class is interested in visiting Angola in the near future to discover new areas of investment.
According to Célia Cipriano, Mozambican businessmen want to visit Angola, to share their experiences, with emphasis on the tourism and agricultural sector.
For his part, the president of the Angola-UK Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Thomas Gerrard Reis, also expressed interest in bringing entrepreneurs from the pharmaceutical industry to Angola, with a view to investing in this sector to produce medicines, gauze, wound dressing, ethyl alcohol, among others.
He recognized Angola as a good country to invest in, but encourages greater investment in human capital.
'Our passion is more for the technical sector and to make an exchange between companies and educational institutions', he reinforced.
The executive director of AIPEX, Jerónimo Pongolola, announced Angola's intention to intensify the internationalisation of beverage production companies and make it available to national fleets in international markets.
In addition, he said that there is also a need to take Angolan tropical fruits to neighboring markets in Africa.
And the director of planning of the Special Economic Zone, Virdes José, said that the meeting served to give investors opportunities and seek the possibility of business.
In turn, the mentor and founder of the project of the 2nd edition of Diplomatic Conversations, Narciso Faz Tudo, said that the event, held quarterly, aims to discuss global and diplomatic problems that transcend the national reality and show the quality of human capital at an international level.
