Cabinda – At least 100 technicians from different institutions take part Tuesday in Cabinda province, in an emergency exercise to respond to possible incidents caused by oil production.
The three-day level three exercise organized by the Cabinda Gulf Oil Company (CABGOC) aims to assess preparedness and effectiveness in taking measures to mitigate the impact of incidents at the Malongo oil exploration field.
According to a statement from the oil company to which ANGOP had access, it also serves to validate the contingency plan in the event of an oil spill, which requires incident assessments, mobilization and strategic positioning of equipment and personnel.
The activity involves, among others, specialists from the ministries of the Environment, Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Fisheries and Marine Resources, Chevron technicians and the local government. ING/JFC/VC/AMP
