Oil prices fell on Friday due to the prospects of a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine, which could alleviate issues in global supply by ending sanctions against Moscow, but losses were limited by a postponement in the imposition of immediate reciprocal tariffs by the United States, according to Reuters.
Brent futures fell by USD 0.28 or 0.37 to USD 74.74/Barrel. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil fell USD 0.55 or 0.77% to USD 70.74.
Last week, Brent gained 0.11%, while WTI lost around 0.37%.
