Uíge – The National Bank of Angola (BNA) plans to open 2,500 bank accounts in the province of Uíge in three days, as part of the Global Money Week, which opened Monday in the region.
To this end, the event, which takes place under the motto "protect your money, secure your future", has the participation of BFA, BPC, BAI, BIC and other banking institutions, which also took the opportunity to exhibit their products and services.
The initiative aims to raise awareness about personal finance management, relationship with money, financial issues, livelihoods and entrepreneurship.
Speaking at the opening of the event, the acting BNA director for the Uíge region, Miguel Banomba, said i tis necessary,to open a bank account, an ID Copy, passport photograph and 100 kwanzas.
He reasoned that the initiative, which began in 2023, aims for education and financial inclusion to reach 85% of the national population, including students and public and private employees.
In turn, the director of the Provincial Office for Social Action, Family and Gender Equality of Uíge, Arminda Filipe, praised the BNA's initiative and hopes that the objectives of education and financial inclusion is achieved. QJ/JAR/CF/DOJ
