Luanda - The National Bank of Angola is to invest 32.7 billion kwanzas (US$57.3 million) to build a cash centre in the Luanda Bengo Special Economic Zone (ZEE), as part of the modernisation of cash management.
The work was awarded to construction company Omatapalo, after the launch, in February of this year, of the public tender with a limited call for tenders by prior qualification.
According to the Central Bank, in a note published on its website, to which Angop had access, the work is due to be carried out within 10 months in the Special Economic Zone.
This process of modernisation of the cash management of the National Bank of Angola, of building the Cash Centre, is a logistics centre for the storage, treatment and distribution of cash.
With it, the Central Bank wants to obtain the necessary performance for the required configurations, based on the best international practices on the subject.
