Sumbe – The Angola Central Bank (BNA) trained, in the last two days, in Sumbe, province of Cuanza-Sul, 200 young people, tools on literacy, financial inclusion and digital resources, within the scope of the national strategy and the Youth Economic Guidance Program.
The training provided young people with knowledge about “circumstances and general presentation of USAID-Angola programs”, “the importance of financial literacy for the youngsters empowerment”, “digital financial services”, “the different payment methods and mobile money”.
Speaking to the press, the deputy general director of the Angolan Youth Institute, José Mateus, said it was a training in which the beneficiaries were advised to apply the knowledge acquired in the communities.
“There is a rush need for young people to link knowledge, understanding and application of financial concepts that will allow them to manage their money very well and also align with the dimension of digital inclusion”, he said.
The training took place under the motto “Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development”, in partnership with USAID-Angola and the provincial government of Cuanza-Sul.CIJ/LC/ALH/CF/DOJ
