Luanda - The Bank of Commerce and Industry (BCI) is attending the International Seminar on Banking Operations for Financial Services (SIBOS/2024), which takes place from the 21st to the 24th of this month, in Beijing, China.
This edition brings together, at the National Convention Center of China (CNCC), experts from all over the world, who are evaluating and sharing knowledge about trends and innovations in the global financial sector, according to a press release to which ANGOP had access this Wednesday.
According to the document, during the event, the Angolan bank will explore new partnership and investment opportunities, aimed at agribusiness and micro, small and medium-sized companies, strategic sectors for the sustainable growth of Africa and the economic diversification of Angola.
In addition, BCI will also present its business model and its main business sectors with emphasis on services adapted to the needs of its customers and partners.
With the motto "We change for you", BCI which is the first commercial bank in Angola's post-independence period, has a new identity, resulting from its privatization, which took place in 2021.
The banking institution which is present in the country's 18 provinces, was officially privatized on December 17, 2021, by the Carrinho business group, which won the first stock exchange auction held in Angola, disbursing 16.5 billion kwanzas. EH/QCB/MRA/DOJ
