Luanda - Angolan Investment Bank (BAI) was named Thursday the Best and Safest Bank in Angola in 2022, by US magazine Global Finance.
For the fifth consecutive time, the Angolan banking institution benefitted from the Angola’s “Best Bank 2022” award.
The criteria for evaluation include profitability, asset growth, geographic dimension, strategic relationships, new business development and product innovation.
This include subjective criteria, through the opinions of financial and credit analysts, banking consultants and other professionals in the sector.
As for the Angola’s “Safest Bank 2022” award, included in the 31st annual edition of the World’s Safest Banks ranking, is the result of BAI’s performance in the evaluation of long-term ratings in foreign currency.
According to Global Finance, BAI's recognition was based on assessments by rating agencies Moody's, Standard & Poor's and Fitch, this being the fifth consecutive distinction.
Operating in Portugal and Cabo Verde, BAI is a key partner of the Angolan State, the first Angolan bank on the stock exchange, whose share capital stands at Kz 157 billion Kwanza and represented by 19.4 million shares common, book-entry and nominative.
