Luanda – Angola Investment Bank “Banco Angolano de Investimentos” BAI has a financing line worth 600 billion Kwanzas intended for granting loans to the national economy, said the Chairperson of the Executive Committee (PCE) of the banking institution, Luís Lélis.
The PCE, who spoke at the end of the ceremony that marked BAI's accession to the Made in Angola seal, said that the amount will be available to companies and individuals, and called on families and businesspeople to present projects that will be analyzed, in accordance with the individual and execution capacity.
“We will try to grant loans with some speed, analyzing projects according to the individual capacity and execution, both of companies and families”, he stressed.
On the other hand, he highlighted BAI's adherence to the Made in Angola seal, which represents the commitment to supporting and valuing national production and a strong commitment to Angola's economic growth.
“The act of adhesion represents the commitment to the country, at a time when we are experiencing complex challenges from an exchange rate perspective”, he highlighted.
He appealed, on the other hand, to Angolan businesspeople and entrepreneurs to adhere to certification, because, in addition to promoting the economy, it becomes a source of pride to be carried out in the country.
“The certificate obliges us to work, both with entrepreneurs, individuals and companies, in order to identify and remove the barriers that make it more difficult to grant credit to the economy,”
he said.
The Made in Angola seal is a government initiative to promote products and services with high National Added Value (VAN), which reinforces the need to comply with strict quality criteria. ASS/AC/TED/DOJ
