Luanda – A total of 11 out of the 21 provinces of the country have been deprived of electricity since Monday afternoon, due to an interruption (blackout) in the North and Center Interconnected System, according to the National Electricity Transmission Network (RNT).
These are the provinces of Luanda (capital), Icolo and Bengo, Cuanza-Norte, Cuanza-Sul, Uíge, Zaire, Bengo, Malanje, Benguela, Huambo and Bié.
In a note, RNT informs that it is investigating the causes of the aforementioned interruption, and its technical teams assigned to System Operation are working to restore the energy supply as soon as possible.
Faced with this scenario, the public company asks for maximum understanding from consumers for the constraints caused.
The National Electricity Transmission Network is the operator of the public electrical system and manager of the transport network, within the scope of its legal powers arising from Presidential Decree nº 305/14 Nov 20.
