Luanda - The Angolan telecommunications multinational AngolaCables intends to expand its services, in the near future, across Africa, namely in Mozambique, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Zambia, Kenya and Zimbabwe.
The intention was expressed Wednesday, in Luanda, by the president of the company's executive board, Ângelo Gama, during thematic session number 7”, with the theme “Strategic plan for the internationalization of AngolaCable”.
Ângelo Gama said that in terms of international communications in the national territory, the multinational has a share of 95%, 70% of which are at African level and 1% at international level.
He acknowledged that there are some difficulties, but stated that the group is growing rapidly, having highlighted the need to be a reference in the African market and establish itself at the level of the best.
On the occasion, the Secretary of State for Social Communication, Nuno Caldas, who chaired the meeting, praised the AngolaCablas group and highlighted that companies of this kind elevate the country's name.
Founded in 2009, AngolaCablas has business operations in terms of telecommunications in more than twenty countries around the world.
It has submarine systems made up of WACS (West African Cable System), which currently connects 11 countries on the West African coast to three European countries, SACS (South Atlantic Cable System) and Monet, with an investment of around 300 million US dollars.
In terms of international communications within the national territory, the Angolan multinational has a share of 95%, with 70 percent at African level, and 1 percent at international level, according to AngolaCable's PCE. JAM/VC/DOJ
