Luanda - Angola counts on BP Oil Internacional LTD as the importer of refined products, petroleum by-products such as gasoline and diesel, for the next 12 months, allowing the market to be supplied and avoid fluctuations.
According to a note from Sonangol, sent Saturday to ANGOP, this new operator in the oil sector, in terms of oil by-products, won the last tender for the supply of gasoline and diesel, which aimed to award contracts for each of the products in reference for a period of 12 months.
According to the document, the competition took place from January 17, 2023 to February 15, 2024 and included the participation of 14 companies, to guarantee the necessary competitiveness and efficiency in terms of results. Of the 14, seven companies submitted proposals, namely BP, Glencore Energy, Trafigura, Gunvor, Vitol, Mercuria and Totsa.
The note explains that, after the clarification and negotiation phase, an assessment of the cost-effectiveness of the proposals was carried out, which resulted in the award of two contracts (gasoline and diesel) to the winning company.
