Luanda - Angola produced 32.6 million barrels of oil in January this year, with a daily average of 1.5 million barrels, the National Oil, Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANGP) said in its monthly report.
The daily production forecast was 1.9 million barrels, with at least 16 blocks contributing, with Block 17 being the most productive with 315,425 barrels, followed by Block 15 (200,678 barrels) and Block 0 with 131,127 barrels, while Cabinda Sul had the lowest production with 149 barrels.
Total, ExxonMobil, BP and Equinor operate in Block 17, located between 150 and 200 kilometers off the Angolan coast.
Associated gas production in the same period amounted to 85,476 million cubic feet, an average of 2,757 million cubic feet per day, of which 897 were reinjected to maintain reservoir pressure, 860 to the LNG plant and 285 to generate energy for oil installations.
In December, oil production was 31.7 million barrels, an average of 1.2 million barrels per day, compared to a forecast of 1.030 million barrels per day. OPF/VC/TED/AMP
