Pretoria - An Angolan delegation is to take part on Thursday in Pretoria (South Africa) in the South Africa-Angola Business Forum, which aims to deepen economic cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting, which will include addresses by the President of the Republic of Angola, João Lourenço and South Africa’s, Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa, also aims to facilitate commercial partnerships and the exploration of strategies to unlock the potential of trade and investment between the two nations in key sectors.
The forum will take place on the sidelines of the visit to South Africa by the Angolan president João Lourenço, at the invitation of his counterpart, Cyril Ramaphosa, and will analyze issues related to agriculture, energy, railways, healthcare, mining, oil and gas and tourism.
It is expected to deepen understanding of the social and economic panorama of both countries, solidify business partnerships and strengthen trade and investment relations between the two states.
The program includes the announcement of current trade and investment agreements being carried out jointly by South African and Angolan companies, the definition of a package of concrete actions to strengthen links between companies and cooperation between governments and these players to promote bilateral economic relations.
It will be attended by 300 participants including businesspeople, representatives of financial institutions and senior government officials.RB/ASS/AMP
