The country will be represented at the event by the minister of Tourism, Márcio Daniel, who on the 4th will participate in the high-level panel called "Training in Tourism: Building a better tomorrow, today".

According to the document to which ANGOP had access, the government official carries out Angola's strategy for training staff in the sector and the tourism development plan for the economy, a process already being implemented, within the scope of the National Plan of Tourism Promotion (PLANATUR).

The three-day event will include strategic meetings, presentations and high-level sessions, with the participation of ministers, academics, experts and industry stakeholders from both regions, who will discuss challenges, investment opportunities, sustainable practices, tourism accessibility, innovation, culture, history and opportunities for mutual growth between the two continents.

The summit will have as an important milestone the adoption of the Punta Cana Declaration, an instrument that will promote South-South cooperation, based on the pillars namely investment, training and cultural and creative industries.

The partnership between Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa in the tourism sector is greatly strengthened by the vast creative industries and traditions, culture and history that cross both continents.
