Luanda - Angola is attending, since Tuesday, the Global African Hydrogen Summit, which takes place from the 3rd to the 5th of this month in Windhoek, Namibia, an event that aims to outline strategies to explore the potential of green hydrogen in Africa.

At the summit, with the theme "From ambition to action: Fueling Africa's green industrial revolution", the Angolan delegation is being led by the secretary of State for Oil and Gas, José Barroso, with the integration of the Angolan ambassador to Namibia, Jovelina Imperial, according to a press release to which ANGOP had access Wednesday.

At the event's last day, José Barroso will be one of the speakers, on the panel about “African hydrogen, clean energy and the next big opportunities in the industry”.

In this panel, the main African economies that are moving forward with the green hydrogen and renewable energy project will be addressed, with practical cases from Angola, Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt and Burundi being shared.

The event also brings together Heads of State, ministers, businesspeople, project promoters, investors and African tech group and the rest of the world, aiming to boost partnerships, critical investments and financing in green energy projects of strategic and national importance on the African continent.

According to the document, the innovative summit will also explore Africa's role in the hydrogen market and promote collaboration for a sustainable energy future, between political, investment and industrial sectors, to maximize the hydrogen opportunity, as well as its impact on achieving the sustainable and equitable energy transition needed by the world.
