Luanda – Angola promoted, for four days, in Madrid, Spain, its potential in the horticultural sector, within the framework of the internationalization of “made in Angola” products, attracting investments and partnerships.

The delegation, made up of staff from the Angolan Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency (AIPEX), the Angolan Embassy in Spain and businesspeople from the sector, was present in several activities, with the aim of strengthening commercial ties and exploring business opportunities between the two countries.

According to a note from the Angolan Embassy in Spain, sent to ANGOP this Saturday, the activities included visits to the two main wholesale markets, namely Mercamadrid and Mercabarna, to better understand the functioning of these important fresh product distribution centers in Spain.

The highlight of the visit was the opening of the "Jornada Angola" (Angola's Journey), at the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, an event promoted by this organization, and which was attended by more than 100 people interested in learning about the market and business opportunities with Angola.

During the event, the advantages and commercial opportunities offered by the Angolan fruit and vegetable sector were highlighted.

The Angolan delegation also had the opportunity to visit Fruit Attraction, the most important fruit fair in Europe, where meetings were held with the main fruit importers.

The program also included a meeting, in Barcelona, with officials from the Agricultural Institute, the most representative association of agricultural entrepreneurs in Spain and the oldest in Europe, with 200 years of history.
