Luanda - Angola will gradually extinguish the rights of importing products from the States that are part of the agreement related to the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
The decision is stressed in the final statement of Cabinet Council Economic Commission's meeting held last Tuesday and is focused on the Memorandum on the Angola Tariff Offering Proposal in the framework of the African Continental Free Trade Area.
In November of 2020, Angola became the 30th country to ratify the agreement that establishes the African Continental Free Trade Zone.
The AfCFTA intends to create major trade area without barriers of the world and to inaugurate a new development era for the continent.
Among the AfCFTA countries are South Africa, Angola, Botswana, Burundi, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Lesotho, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Seychelles, Eswatini, Sudan, South Sudan Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
