Luanda - The European Union (EU) will make 275 million euros available to Angola within the framework of the partnership established to support the country’s economic diversification, good governance, the fight against corruption and the development of human resources.
The information was given on Wednesday, in Luanda, by the European Commissioner for International Partnerships, Jutta Urpilainen, after an audience granted by Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa.
She explained that the areas concerned are related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as financial inclusion, within the framework of the EU's support for the Government's efforts.
The EU commissioner stressed that the financing falls within the scope of existing bilateral cooperation with Angola.
She explained that during the meeting, in addition to aspects of cooperation, they reviewed issues about the Southern African Development Community (SADC), as well as its pacification efforts. FMA/VIC/DOJ
