Luanda - The governments of Angola and Türkiye recently expressed in Istanbul, both countries’ willingness and openness to reinforce the exploration of new businesses and partnerships in the mining, oil and gas fields, a statement said.
This was expressed during a meeting between Angola’s Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo and his Turkish counterpart, Alparslan Bayraktar.
The two sides analyzed the current state of economic cooperation and envisaged the holding of the next Bilateral Joint Commission, taking into account that the two ministers share the co-presidency of that commission.
Diamantino Azevedo invited the CEO of the Turkish Petroleum to visit Angola to begin negotiations with the State owned oil company Sonangol.
The Angolan minister's visit to Turkey follows an invitation made by the CEO of the Tosyali Holding to visit the company’s steel complex in Hatay city.
Tosyali holding already operates in Angola, mainly on the restructuring of Jamba Mineira, whose project aims to establish a steel complex near the Port of Namibe, transforming iron into steel to supply the national foreign market .QCB/AMP
