Luanda - Angola and Senegal will hold the first edition of the 2025 Economic Forum from April 7 to 9 in the Senegalese capital, Dakar, with the aim of creating partnerships and stimulating intra-African trade within the framework of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
The Angola-Senegal Economic Forum (FEAS-2025) will bring together businessmen and investors from the energy, natural resources, trade, industry, agriculture, tourism, aviation, technology and innovation sectors.
The event, which is expected to attract more than 100 Angolan and Senegalese businessmen, will be organized under the auspices of the Angolan diplomatic mission in Senegal.
FEAS-2025 aims to promote and strengthen bilateral investment and identify growth sectors to create business and employment opportunities.
The initiative is a crucial step in strengthening dialogue, attracting strategic investments and stimulating business between entrepreneurs from both countries.
The forum aims to boost intra-African trade within the framework of the AfCFTA by promoting exchanges, identifying growth opportunities and structuring sustainable economic cooperation.
Angola and Senegal hope to capitalize on the political stability of the two countries and the existence of a context of economic commitment on the part of both nations.
According to Angola's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Senegal, Adão Pinto, the forum is a dynamic platform for exploring investment opportunities, promoting cooperation and establishing successful business relations.
Angola and Senegal share a common vision of growth and development, in which economic cooperation and trade play a fundamental role, and we therefore hope that business people will benefit from the conferences, exhibitions and interactive sessions," he said.
The initiative, the diplomat said, shows that the two countries, one from the SADC economic bloc and the other from ECOWAS, are ready to face the challenges of trade, industrialization and African integration.ASS/TED/AMP
