Talatona - The National Oil, Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANPG) and the National Petroleum Institute (INP) of Mozambique on Wednesday, in Luanda, signed a memorandum of understanding that aims to promote the exchange of experiences in the areas of concessions management.

The agreement includes human resources management and the carrying out of joint studies and investments, workshops, webinars and the development of collaborative projects, with the aim of strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector.

The same protocol was signed by the FAMAR managing partner, Mauro Carvalho, and PUMANGOL's executive director, André Pitr during the 2nd day's work of the "V Conference and Exhibition of Oil and Gas", which takes place in Luanda.

On the occasion, witnessed by the ANPG Board of Directors Chairman, Paulino Jerónimo, and by the INP Administrator, José Branquinho, a partnership was also established that aims to improve the fuel storage capacity in the country.

This second agreement provides for the construction of storage units in Luanda and Lobito, with a total capacity of 28,500 cubic meters, with a view to bringing large-scale financial, environmental and economic benefits to Angola.

The conference, held under the motto "Driving Exploration and Development to Increase Production in Angola", is the main event in the country's oil sector.

It presents a wide range of opportunities for companies to sign new agreements, promote collaborations and boost projects in the oil and gas industry in Angola and across the southern region of the African continent. GIZ/MDS/CF/jmc
