Luanda - Angola and China confirmed on Friday a public-private forum, scheduled between April and July 2023.
This was announced by Minister of Economy and Planning, Mário Caetano João, who said that the event will involve Chinese companies operating and those not operating in Angola, but which are interested in investing in the country.
Speaking at the end of a meeting with the Chinese ambassador, Gong Tao, the minister said Angola wants the Chinese business class to “roll up their sleeves and unlock the potential that the country has”.
Angola exempts from customs fees
On the other hand, the economic and commercial adviser to the Embassy in Angola, Lu Yuzhong, who represented the Chinese ambassador to Angola, said that his country needs more products from Angola, adding that effort is in progress to exempt Angola’s exports from customs duties and fees.
