Luanda – The State secretary for Trade Amadeu Nunes, defended Sunday in Geneva, Switzerland, the need to review the flexibilities provided to the World Food Programme (WFP) and developing countries in the current negotiation rules.

On the occasion, Amadeu Nunes called on the Governments to ease the availability of the vaccines against Covid-19 as well as the raw materials to digital goods, aiming to promote the world's population well-being and to develop the rules for a multilateral trade focused on sustainable development.
In addition to the State secretary for Trade, the Angolan delegation in the WTO Conference is also composed by the State secretary for Fisheries, Esperança da Costa, the Permanent Representative of Angola to the United Nations Offices in Geneva, the ambassador Margarida Izata, diplomats of the Permanent Mission and Experts of the Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On the other hand, the conference sessions will allow the assessment of the negotiations on agriculture, special and differential treatment, opening the possibilities for joint initiatives and declarations, in which the member groups of the WTO share ideas on issues as the facilitation of investments, e-commerce and domestic regulations on services.
