Luanda - Angola recently presented its potential as a strategic partner for international companies, at the IMEX Forum, held in the Elche region, in Spain.

This is an event recognized for promoting emerging markets and new investment opportunities, according to a note to which ANGOP had access.

During her intervention on the panel “Africa: New markets for internationalization”, the commercial representative of the Angolan Embassy in Spain, Paula Francinette Lisboa, highlighted the competitive advantages that the country offers to foreign investors.

She highlighted the political and economic stability achieved by the country in recent years, which has created a favorable environment for investment, and highlighted the broad possibilities for import and export, especially agricultural products, natural resources and manufactured goods.

She said that the Government is committed to the diversification of the economy, offering incentives and a solid legal framework for foreign investments.

This commitment, she added, strengthens the objective of consolidating Angola as a key player in the African and world economy.

Paula Francinette highlighted key sectors for investment, such as infrastructure, agriculture, technology, renewable energy and tourism, which have a high potential for growth and return on investment.

Held under the theme “Plans for business growth and new markets for internationalization”, the IMEX forum also served as a platform to debate the opportunities that the African continent offers at a global level, especially in sectors such as infrastructure, technology and agriculture.

In this context, Angola stood out as one of the countries with the greatest prospects for development and international collaboration.

The representative emphasized the importance of meetings of this kind, as they promote direct dialogue between diplomats, businesspeople and investors.

'Forums of this type allow us to connect directly with businesspeople and investors, and open exclusive lines of action. Furthermore, they demonstrate Angola's high diplomatic level, being a reference in events of this magnitude', he said.

Africa’s strategic role in internationalization

The forum highlighted that Africa, as a whole, is a continent full of opportunities, with continuous growth and emerging markets that represent a fundamental axis for the international expansion of companies.

The presence of the Angolan Embassy at this event reinforces the country's strategic vision to position itself as a bridge between Africa and the rest of the world, it reads.

With more than 60 Spanish companies currently operating in Angola, bilateral relations between the two countries continue to strengthen with collaboration in areas such as construction, agriculture, health and education.

These sectors are aligned with the Angolan Government's priorities to diversify its economy and promote sustainable development. VC/DOJ
