Luanda – The Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency (AIPEX) accepted and registered, from August 2018 to July 2021, a total of 396 projects, budgeted at US $4,252 billion.
With the materialisation of investments that came from 48 countries, the country expects to employ 27,778 national workers and 2,214 foreigners, according to AIPEX´s data.
According to the statistical map by AIPEX, to which ANGOP had access this Wednesday, of the total number of projects, 171 are for the industry sector, which plans to invest $1.958 billion.
Also in the period under review, the commerce sector got 86 projects, with an estimated investment of $152 million, while the services provision area registered 83 projects, totaling $335 million.
This is followed by the sectors of agriculture with 18 projects, valued at $219 million, civil construction with 9 budgeted in $686 million), fisheries with eight (132 million dollars) and tourism with five (USD 31 million).
The health and mineral sectors included four projects each, valued at US$131 million and US$228 million, respectively.
Education and telecommunications registered three projects each, with an investment equivalent to $30 million and 307 million, respectively, while the sector of financial activities added two projects, valued at USD 43 million.
According to AIPEX, the implementation of these projects is expected in all provinces of the country, with Luanda having the largest number, with 314 projects.
