Saurimo – The seventh Tax Region of AGT proceeded today, Saturday, in Saurimo (Lunda-Sul), to open customer service services to the public on weekends, with a view to making it easier for taxpayers to pay taxes who are not available to do so on weekdays.
Speaking to ANGOP, regarding the new working regulations, the head of AGT's tax department in Lunda-Sul, Augusto Caculo, said that the measure aims to respond to the needs of users who, due to their work activities, do not have access to time to make payments of various taxes during normal working days, with emphasis on property taxes, which are periodic.
He added that the voluntary property tax payment period is about to end and, in order to avoid constraints, the measure has been taken to facilitate taxpayers.
He added that providing services on weekends will allow for more revenue to be collected.
He mentioned that in addition to the constraints that taxpayers have experienced when paying via the portal, another difficulty relates to those who carry out freelance work in municipalities, a fact that has been reflected in the slowness of paying property tax.
He said that to pay property tax, the taxpayer must fill out model five, while for income, model one.
The measure is extended to the three provinces that comprise the seventh tributary region, namely Lunda Sul, Lunda Norte and Moxico. EM/JW/SC/DOJ
