Luanda - The 39th edition of the Luanda International Fair (FILDA 2024) opened Tuesday in the Special Economic Zone (ZEE), in a ceremony led by the Minister of State for Social Affairs, Maria do Rosário Bragança.
The minister underlined the contribution of the different sectors and players for the diversification of the national economy, reaffirming the government’s conviction that a strong commitment to diversification is the right path to inclusive economic and social growth.
The minister highlighted the role of the industry, commerce, agriculture and mineral resources in economic growth and technological progress, as well as in creating business opportunities in Angola.
According to the minister, FILDA 2024 demonstrates the Angolan government's commitment to creating a favorable business environment for business growth, through solid economic policies, trade facilitation measures and the promotion of a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation.
Maria do Rosário Bragança said the motto of the event is very suggestive and extremely important for the country, given that the sustainability of the food system and the need to strengthen international ties are fundamental pillars for economic development.
FILDA 2024 runs until Sunday under the motto ‘Food security and international partnership: the binomial of economic diversification’, jointly organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Eventos Arena group.
The forum promotes the development of business and commercial partnerships between national and international economic agents and debate aimed at encouraging and fostering national production. VC/DAN/AMP
