Cuvango - Exhibitors from three municipalities in the eastern region of the province of Huíla, namely Matala, Quipungo and Chipindo, have been participating, since Tuesday, in the 1st edition of Expo-Cuvango, which focuses on promoting local production.
The event that ends Friday, in Cuvango, as part of the celebrations of the municipality's 140th anniversary, which is celebrated today, showcases the region's agricultural, livestock and cultural production.
In the opening session of the event, the municipal director of Education, Feliciano Ndala, representing the administrator, Luís Paulo Ndala, highlighted that the event serves as an opportunity for municipalities to promote and establish businesses, in a context of an open and competitive market.
Feliciano Ndala highlighted that it is an achievement that will also stimulate local production and provide business opportunities and interaction between different agents, given that these four municipalities are the largest agricultural and livestock powers in Huíla.
The municipality of Cuvango is 356 kilometers east of Lubango, on the border with Cuando-Cubango, through Cuchi and has an estimated population of 106,421 inhabitants, according to projections by the National Statistics Institute for this year. MS/CF/DOJ
