Luanda - Twelve Angolan chess players left Monday for Hungary, to participate in the 45th edition of the Chess Olympiad, taking place from the 10th to the 23rd of the current month, with the aim of achieving norms and rising in the world rankings.
Currently, Angola occupies the 102nd position worldwide, while on the African continent it is in 10th place.
The African top five is led by Egypt, Morocco, South Africa, Algeria and Zambia.
The international masters (MI) Davi Silva and Catarino Domingos, the fide master (MF) Domingos Júnior and the national master (MN) Gabriel Sapalo in male category made up national team.
While the women category, include MI Esperança Caxita, MF Jemima Paulo, MF Ednásia Júnior, MF Luzia Pires and specialist master (NE) Felícia Felicidade.
