Luena - Chess player Laurindo Missengo began with a double victory in the defense of the Manguxi tournament title, beating the debutant Isaías Muquissi and the current provincial champion, Donaldo Dikson, in the opening round.
With the “rookie” Isaías Muquissi “dispatched” in the first round, due to inexperience and competitive pace, Luarindo Missengo had time to rest, face and defeat, on the same day, in the second round, Donaldo Dikson.
This is the main provincial derby that pitted the current candidate for the Manguxi trophy (Laurindo Missengo) against the absolute individual provincial champion, Donaldo Dikson.
In four hours of moving the pieces around the board, Donaldo Dikson was incompetent in handling the pressure and was defeated in the end, after a slight advantage throughout the challenge, with Laurindo Missengo's experience coming to the fore to decide the victory in the details.
