Luanda - The Vice-President of Angola, Esperança da Costa, on Friday in Luanda, encouraged the national football team to face Nigeria in the knockout stage of the Africa Cup of CAN'2023.
Speaking to journalists, the Vice-President praised the performance of the giant black sable throughout the competition taking place until February 11 in Côte d'Ivoire.
Angola drew with Algeria (1-1), beat Mauritania (3-2), Burkina Faso (2-0) and Namibia (3-0), the latter in the round of 16 to progress to knock out stage.
This is the third time the Angola national football team has reached the quarter-finals. The first was in the 2008 (Ghana) and the second in 2010 (Angola).MC/DAN/AMP
