Luanda - The Deputy-Chair of the Angolan Handball Federation (FAAND), Teresa Ulundo “Chinha”, said on Tuesday, in Luanda, that she will apply all efforts so that the goals are achieved by 2028.
Speaking on the sidelines of the swearing-in of the squad, led by José do Amaral 'Maninho', held in Luanda, she expressed her gratitude for the trust placed in her and that she will deserve it.
The former Secretary of State for Sports recalled, however, that it was an emergency, after long years in which she evolved as an athlete in clubs and without national teams.
Ulundo is among the novelties of the squad that ran on a single list in the recent elections, which confirmed the also former handball player for the second term.
There are, in total, 4 deputy-chair, including Naír Almeida, Teresa Oliveira and Fernando da Cruz, in addition to 28 members.
Among 88 voters, Maninho received 86 votes, in an election in which two invalid votes were registered.
In FAAND's action plan for the 2024/28 four-year term, the emphasis is placed on the objective of achieving the world podium with the women's team, as well as the African title with the men's team.
The federative program also provides for the training of technicians to raise the competitive level and refresh referees and managers.
Founded on May 20, 1974, the federation had Francisco António de Almeida as its first head. JAD/MC/CF/DOJ
