Luanda - The 10th International Golf Tournament called “Dipanda'2024”, to be played from the 10th to the 11th of Nov, at the Mangais course, in Luanda, will involve 64 golfers divided equally between nationals and foreigners.
Speaking to ANGOP on Wednesday, António Louro, from the event's Organizing Committee, explained that, in addition to Angola, Portugal, Korea, Zimbabwe and China confirmed their participation in the event.
As part of the festivities of the 49th anniversary of National Independence, achieved on November 11, 1975, the competition was played using the “Match Play” system, over two days.
In the debut, teams of two athletes each will compete, while the second day features individual games.
The regulations of this 10th Edition of the International Golf Tournament called “Dipanda`2024” establish that victory in the individual sector is worth two points, a draw one and defeat zero.
The champion of the event, whose objective is to promote the development of the sport and increase cooperation between participating countries, is found by the number of victories between the team made up of Angolans and the team made up of athletes from all invited countries.
