Taekwondo: Athletes from Moxico represent Angola at the World Championship in South Korea

Luena - Two athletes from Bravos do Maquis do Moxico will represent the country at the Junior Taekwondo World Championship, to be held from 1 to 6 October in South Korea, ANGOP learned this Wednesday.

They are athletes Domilde Fernando and Cricia Matos, winners of the National Championship held in Benguela, in the 45 and 52 kilogram categories, respectively.

The athletes, aged 14 and 16, respectively, in statements to ANGOP promised to represent the country in a dignified manner, with the desire to win gold medals.

The president of the Provincial Taekwondo Association in Moxico, Aldemar Fernando, stated that all the conditions are in place for a successful participation in the competition.

He said that before traveling to Chuncheon province, in South Korea, the athletes will complete a pre-combat training period in the country's capital (Luanda). LTY/TC/TED/DOJ
