Luanda - Petro de Luanda won today (Sunday), in Saurimo, its 15th Cup of Angola in football, by beating “Bravos do Maquis do Moxico”, 2-0, in the final game, played at the Mangueiras Stadium, in the province of Lunda-Sul.
With a double from Julinho, in the 32nd and 63rd minutes, the national champion of the first division (Girabola2023/24) and the Super Cup, revalidates the trophy for the second biggest football competition in the country, closing the sporting season in full.
Bravos do Maquis only has one Angola Cup, won against Sagrada Esperança da Lunda Norte, 1-0, in 2015.
To reach the final stage, Petro defeated 1º de Agosto, 2-1, at the 11 de Novembro Stadium, in the country's capital, while that Bravos do Maquis beat Interclube, 2-0, at the Mundunduleno Stadium, in Luena, Moxico province. VAB/DOJ
