Luanda - The two Angolan representatives in the African Football Confederation (CAF) Cup named Nelson Mandela will begin their continental group stage campaign next Sunday, with their eyes set on the next stages.
This is Sagrada Esperança da Lunda Norte, who will host Club Olympique de Coyah from Guinea Conakry (5pm) at the 11 de Novembro stadium, in Luanda, for group B, while Académica do Lobito (C) will travel to the field of the Rivers United of Nigeria.
The objective of the two ''ambassadors'' of Angola in this campaign is to reach, in this first stage, the semi-finals of this second biggest football competition on the continent, after the Champions Clubs League where Petro de Luanda (national champions) will be engaged as from this weekend.
Sagrada Esperança da Lunda Norte are in the same series as Zamalek from Egypt (winners of the 2019 edition), CO Coyal from Guinea and Abu Salim from Libya.
Académica do Lobito, in turn, will face in group C, Rivers United from Nigeria, Club Africain from Tunisia and Dreams FC from Ghana.
A total of 16 teams will be involved in this competition, divided into four groups.
